- First, it is disassemble by loosing bolts of upper block. Then covers, fuel pump, intake manifold etc. are removed from long block.
- The next step necessary before rebuilding Chevy 350 engines is to remove crankshaft and oil pan to access cylinders and bearings. The block is flipped over to remove these parts.
- After removing crankshaft and oil pan, each piston on crank rods is removed. Now, heads are separated from blocks removing head bolts. The engine block is cleaned from all debris.
- All cylinder walls are polished to match their diameters. This helps to keep pistons aligned and their smooth working. This procedure is followed for each lifter port.
- Cylinder walls, pistons, lifter ports, camshaft are greased. All disassembled parts are fixed again after oiling these parts properly.
